A few days back, Kallanum Bhagavathiyum’s director East Coast Vijayan officially announced the digital arrival of his fantasy thriller movie. Taking to his Instagram handle, the filmmaker shared an OTT Release Date poster of the Malayalam Entertainer, confirming that it is now available for watching on Amazon Prime Video with a rental payment of Rs 99. In the caption of his post, Vijayan wrote, “Exciting News!.
I am thrilled to announce that “Kallannum Bhagavathiyum” is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.” After failing to achieve anything in his life, Rookie thief Mathappan decides to kill himself but eventually ends up fleeing away after stealing Lord Krishna’s Idol from a local temple. To avoid getting caught for committing the theft, he takes refuge in a local church’s graveyard where he meets Priyamani, a girl suffering from almost the same plight as him.
During the duo’s interaction, Padmini tells Mathappan how defeated she feels after failing to regain possession of a property that her dad mortgaged. She also asks him to steal the valuable idol of Goddess Bhagwati which is lying unattained in the forested cave temple located on the other side of the river. Listening to the lady’s advice, Mathappan, despite facing a lot of life-threatening challenges on his way, manages to get his hands on the mystical idol, only to end up establishing a divine connection with the goddess attached to it.
What happens next and how the goddess changes Mathappan’s vulnerable life into something extraordinary is the remaining story of the movie.
