Kajol is one of the few actresses in Bollywood who isn't afraid to be her authentic self in public. However, earlier this month, she faced online trolling after losing her cool with the paparazzi at her family's Durga Puja Pandal in Mumbai. The clip quickly went viral, attracting a wide range of reactions.

While some supported her for reprimanding the media for wearing footwear in a holy place, others compared her to veteran actress Jaya Bachchan, known for her frequent outbursts at the paps. In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Kajol responded to the trolling. Kajol on being real on social media Actress Kriti Sanon, who co-stars with the 90s star in Do Patti, was also a part of the conversation.

Defending her, the Mimi actress said, "Real, that's what she is. Nahi toh life me bhi acting karni padegi toh it becomes very tough yaar." Opening up about how she manages to keep herself sane amid the negativity, Kajol said, "I think it has to do with the fact that I didn't have social media growing up, so I never came from that world.

For me, yes, even getting onto Instagram was a tool that my daughter told me was a cool idea; she got me onto it, saying, 'You'd really enjoy it because you enjoy writing and the play of words. So imagine, you'll put up a picture and you'll be able to put (captions)'. And that's my idea of social media really.

If you see my social media, you'll realise, I'm not posting everyday activities and all of that. No, because I don't believe it's bad for me." .
