New Kaizer Chiefs head of Scouting and Recruitment Thembela Maliwa has opened up about his move to the Soweto Giants. Maliwa relishing the challenge at Kaizer Chiefs Thembela Maliwa arrived at the club in August after seven years with Sundowns and prior experience with Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam. Here’s an excerpt from his discussion with local outlet iDiski Times in their newspaper.

“I’ve spent seven years at Sundowns, great years that I spent there, learned a lot from Sundowns, being a scout there and enjoyed myself,” Maliwa told iDiski Times . “Now, I’m where I am now at Kaizer Chiefs, it’s a dream for everyone to work for such a club and to be in this department where I have to make sure that we bring the club back to the glory days. “Chiefs is a big team, from the first day, you just want to work for this big institution and don’t waste time.



I’m very happy with my career and very ambitious. I see myself helping the club, taking them back to the glory days. It’s a dream come true for me to be here.

” Here’s what Tera told the club’s official website after joining: “We all know what a big, great Club this is. I am really happy to be here,” “I am here to try to take the Club to another level in terms of scouting and recruitment. My plan is to identify and bring in the players that will take Amakhosi back to the glory days.
