Jonathan Anderson might be fashion’s best zookeeper. (The prolific designer behind LOEWE and his eponymous brand, JW Anderson , is known for making playful, head-turning clutches shaped after animals like frogs, hedgehogs, puffins, penguins, pigeons and more, after all.) But for the Holiday 2024 season, the UK fashioner is shifting his focus away from his voguish wildlife park and toward a more mature domain: real estate.
That’s right — Anderson’s latest statement accessories have landed on his storefront in the form of house-shaped, knitted shoulder bags. The hand-embroidered totes arrive in two intricate finishes: the first adopts a brown and white facade with red accents and several windows, and the second appears in a creme tone with flower-covered sills and garden details. Meanwhile, both designs feature a central door with the label’s nautical iconography stitched onto the center, almost like a miniature JW garland.
Welcome home, Anderson fans. Despite their delicate appearances, both designs are exceptionally functional with short leather top handles, detachable leather crossbody straps, zip openings with JW-branded pull tabs, bamboo lining and silver hardware. Plus, those who might be looking to expand their JW Anderson estate can keep an eye out for the brand’s house-inspired ready-to-wear pieces coming for Spring 2025.
