Vadodara: A 3.5-foot crocodile caused a flutter at the Bharwad Vaas neighbourhood in the Sama area of the city on Friday night, during a downpour. Just as residents of the area were negotiating waterlogged roads, they stumbled upon the young crocodile.

“We got a call at about 11.45pm on Friday for a young crocodile having entered the neighbourhood. We rushed to the spot and rescued it.



the reptile may have ventured into the locality from the Vishwamitri,” said animal rescuer Hemant Wadhwana. Interestingly, there were also reports of a large fish in floodwaters near Duttnagar Society on Dabhoi Road. The residents were bemused at seeing the large fish swimming through the society lanes.
