Justin Timberlake is being slammed online as his lawyer claims he was "not intoxicated" on the night of his arrest in New York in June during a court hearing on Friday. Timberlake, 43, was arrested on June 18 at about midnight after a Sag Harbor Village Police Department officer stopped him in the Hamptons after he allegedly ran a stop sign and veered out of his lane while driving a 2025 BMW X7. The singer reportedly told the officer he had one martini and was following some friends home, but he arrested and later charged with a driving-while-intoxicated misdemeanor.

Another added: "If he wasn't intoxicated why did he refuse breathalyzer testing? If I were not intoxicated and had one drink I would have no issue taking one." A third commented: "JUSTICE FOR JUSTIN" while another claimed he was "hammered" during his arrest.



A fifth penned: "In another words, it’s the cops fault how there can be working that night and stop a car ran a stop sign and he knew who Justin Timberlake was and he targeted him. Is that what he’s saying????? Shame on Justin Timberlake." Timberlake's lawyer, defense attorney Edward Burke Jr.

, also reportedly said in the courtroom that prosecutors allegedly failed to "get a superior officer’s signature on the initial charging papers — and therefore the case should be dropped." He added: "The police made a number of very significant errors in this case. "In court today, you heard the district attorney try to fix one of those errors.

But that’s just one and there are many others. Sometimes the police make mistakes and this is just one of those instances." Timberlake was not present in court on Friday nor did he appear virtually.

" Hours later, Timberlake was spotted leaving, getting into a black vehicle. Timberlake's mugshot was later releasedas well. At the time, Timberlake's lawyer made the statement: "Mr.

Burke looks forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake on these allegations. "Mr.

Burke will have a lot to say at the appropriate time; he is currently awaiting full discovery from the District Attorney’s office.".
