We first spotted the bathroom wallpaper in one of Hailey's Instagram posts (Slides 2 and 5) and we haven't stopped thinking about it since. ' However, the controversy surrounding this type of wall decor is not unwarranted. Because it is made out of, well, paper, wallpaper can be difficult to maintain in a high moisture area like the bathroom. In fact, some experts say the bathroom is one of the places you should never wallpaper if you want a low-maintenance home.
Though these risks will never fully go away, they can be mitigated with careful planning. Chelsea Clark, expert at I Love Wallpaper advises: 'It’s best to avoid using wallpaper in areas that experience lots of splashback, such as around a bath or shower, and ensure the room is well-ventilated to avoid peeling.'
