This week starts with Junk Food Day and ends with the Taste of Wisconsin festival. In between, we have a lot of free outdoor concerts to attend: Sunday, July 21 Cheetos, here we come: July 21 is Junk Food Day. For 24 hours, you can forget all about your healthy eating habits.

Instead, indulge in your favorite snacks, whether you prefer salty or sweet — or both! That means Cheetos for breakfast, potato chips for lunch and a whole pan of Rice Krispie treats for supper. Market day: Head to Petrifying Springs Park for “HarborMarket at the Biergarten,” a pop-up market from 10 a.m.



to 2 p.m. The market will include vendors selling produce, prepared foods and arts and crafts.

The trio Violet Wilder will be performing. The Biergarten is located at the south entrance of the park, 5555 Seventh St. in Somers.

Monday, July 22 Finding Waldo: Blue House Books is hosting a “Where’s Waldo” scavenger hunt , running through July 31. Waldo is hidden inside 25 local venues. To take part in the free activity, pick up a “Find Waldo Local in Kenosha!” stamp card at the bookstore , 5915 Sixth Ave.

Tuesday, July 23 Here’s the scoop: Enjoy a good, old-fashioned scoop of comfort on Vanilla Ice Cream Day . Vanilla Ice Cream Day on July 23 is not to be confused with Vanilla Ice Day, which is a totally different thing. Listen up: The Music at Twilight concert series returns to the Anderson Arts Center grounds, 6603 Third Ave.

, with a performance by the jam band Peacetree All-Stars. Grounds open at 5 p.m.

for the 6-8 p.m. concert.

Bring lawn chairs and/or blankets. No seating is provided. Admission is free.

Food and drinks are available for purchase. Back “at the Shell”: The “Tuesdays at the Shell” concert series in Pennoyer Park welcomes the Relatively Close Band, performing 6-8 p.m.

Concerts are 6 p.m. every Tuesday, through Aug.

Thursday, July 25 Start spreading the news: The Peanut Butter and Jam Concert Series continues with the band Disco Circus . Free shows are twice a day — an acoustic 11:30 a.m.

show and a full band 6-8 p.m. in Veterans Memorial Park, 54th Street and Sixth Avenue.

Swing time: The Rhythm on the Lake Concert Series continues today, moving to Old Settlers Park, overlooking Paddock Lake. The band Relativity plays 6-8 p.m.

org . Vrrrrroooommm! That sound you hear is a whole lotta motorcycles heading to Petrifying Springs Park today as part of the Harley-Davidson Homecoming celebration, hosted by Uke’s Harley-Davidson. Hundreds of riders are expected in the park for the After Party .

Here’s the scoop: Starting at 6 p.m. July 25, there will be a guided ride from Uke’s to the park, where the party includes live music, food trucks, a photo booth, yard games and “bouncy” houses for kids.

The party is 4 to 8:30 p.m. Bands slated to perform are: Tap Room All-Stars (4-6 p.

m.) and Indigo Canyon (6:30-8:30 p.m.

Friday, July 26 Take a bite out of summer: The three-day Taste of Wisconsin festival is back in HarborPark. The event features 30-plus food and beverage vendors, plus live music on four stages. Admission and parking are free.

m. to 11 p.m.

Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.

m. Sunday at the harbor, 54th Street and First Avenue. This is a fundraiser for the Kiwanis Club of Western Kenosha, with proceeds used to support the club’s charitable activities.

Outdoor movie night: Catch a free flick in Petrifying Springs Park , starting at dusk, next to the Biergarten. Movies are shown every Friday evening, through Aug. 23.

Tonight’s movie: the 2023 animated film “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.” Bring lawn chairs and snacks. Bug spray is a good idea, too.

Saturday, July 27 Shopping after dark: The Keno Nite Market is 4-10 p.m. in Pennoyer Park, on Seventh Avenue at 35th Street along Kenosha’s lakefront.

The free, family-friendly event is open to everyone, with local artisans and crafters, food vendors and performances from local musicians. There will also be beer, for people age 21 and older, and a free raffle. Note: Upcoming Keno Nite Markets are Aug.

24 and Sept. 28. Mix it up: The fourth annual Midwest Mix Fest runs for two days, July 27-28, on the grounds at Kemper Center, 6501 Third Ave.

The music, art and food festival opens at 2 p.m. both days.

Proceeds go to Alex’s Lemonade Stand, a pediatric cancer research foundation. There will be a bunch of DJs, along with vendors. Admission starts at $15.
