In terms of K-drama popularity, ‘ Love Next Door ’ has emerged as a standout success according to Good Data Corporation ’s latest TV-OTT drama popularity survey for the second week of September. For two consecutive weeks, this delightful series has not only captured viewers’ hearts but has also clinched the top position across all categories measured, including news coverage, Voice of Netizen (VON) engagement, video clips, and social media activity. Jung So-min , the female protagonist in the drama, has further solidified the show's appeal by securing the number one spot in the cast popularity rankings.

Jung So-min’s impressive run marks her third time at the top, while her co-star Jung Hae-in has held the number one rank twice. Together, they have ensured that ‘Love Next Door’ remains a fixture in the spotlight, achieving a remarkable five consecutive weeks at the top of the popularity charts. Their on-screen chemistry has clearly won the hearts of audiences, making them one of the most beloved pairs in recent K-drama history.



Trailing closely in second place is ‘No Gain No Love’, which has climbed up from its previous position at third. This drama has seen a surge in popularity since its premiere, becoming a favorite among viewers. It has excelled in the TV Monday-Tuesday drama category, with its lead actors, Kim Young-dae and Shin Min-ah, ranking third and fourth in cast popularity, respectively.

Their performances have contributed significantly to the drama's growing fanbase. In third place, ‘Good Partner’ has faced a slight decline in popularity compared to the previous week, showcasing the ever-changing trends of K-drama viewership. Meanwhile, ‘Your Honor’ wraps up its run in fourth place.

Notably, in a surprising turn of events, the sons of the lead actors, Son Hyun-joo and Kim Myung-min, have outshone their fathers in the popularity rankings. Kim Do-hoon and Heo Nam-jun managed to secure the 12th and 16th spots, respectively. Completing the top ten, the survey features ‘Queen Woo’, ‘Romance in the House’, ‘Black Out’, ‘Pachinko Season 2’, ‘Beauty and Mr.

Romantic’, and the newly released drama ‘Seoul Busters’. The survey conducted by Good Data Corporation examined TV dramas and OTT original dramas airing or scheduled to air between September 9 and September 15, 2024. The insights reveal not only the popularity of these shows but also the growing influence of K-drama on international platforms, as viewers engage with their favorite series and stars like never before.
