George Clooney knows how to save a life - and not just on television. Actress Julianna Margulies spoke on how her ER co-star helped her character Carol Hathaway not be killed off on the show in the planned pilot episode. Her losing her temper during her audition almost cost her the series.

"What happened was, I was in L.A. visiting a boyfriend," the Good Wife star said on the Kelly Clarkson Show on Friday.
