Paul O'Grady helps clean an arthritic elephant Paul O'Grady 's old pal Julian Clary has shared how he copes with the death of the beloved star. The 67-year-old TV legend broke the nation's hearts back in March 2023 when it was announced Paul had sadly passed away . He died "unexpectedly but peacefully" at his home in Kent from sudden cardiac arrhythmia .

While Paul isn't here physically his memory lives on, so much so the 65-year-old comedian "still talks" to his old pal . "It was such a shocking, sudden death. Everyone’s finding it really hard," he added. “I used to speak to him on the phone every few weeks," Julian added as he admitted: "I forget that he’s gone.

"He was the funniest person. Whenever he rang, it would be just an injection of joy. I was helpless with laughter.
