Juan Karlos is nothing but a proud boyfriend to Dia Mate, who recently competed at the Miss World Philippines 2024. The "Ere" singer took to social media on Monday to pen a heartfelt appreciation message for Dia, who was named Miss Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2024 at the pageant's coronation night on Friday. "I have seen how you've gone through all the challenges and difficulties of the pageantry world with grace and elegance and I couldn't be any prouder," Juan Karlos began, and posted a photo of Dia's crowning moment.
"You have been my queen since day one and the only difference now is that you're wearing the crown that you so deserve," he added. Ending his post, the OPM singer congratulated his "sweet baby" and went on to express his love for her. "This is just the beginning.
To my sweet baby with the kindest heart and a smile that lights up my world, congratulations! I love you," he ended. This was not the first time Juan Karlos expressed his support to Dia . Previously, he asked the public for support for Dia's Miss Universe Philippines 2024 stint by sharing details on how to vote for her for the swimsuit challenge.
JK hard launched Dia on Instagram on Valentine's Day. Before Dia, JK was in a relationship with another beauty queen, Miss Universe Philippines 2021 first runner-up Maureen Wroblewitz . They were together for three years before announcing their breakup in 2022.
Dia was among the 33 contestants of the Miss World Philippines 2024 pageant, representing Cavite. Aside from the Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas crown, the Caviteña also took home several special awards such as Miss World Aqua Boracay, Miss Bench Active, and Miss Procap. During the pageant's coronation night, Krishnah Marie Gravidez of Baguio City was hailed Miss World Philippines 2024.
