Who can ever forget the sizzling chemistry of Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) in Bridgerton season 2? Their love story satiated the hunger of romantic souls a plenty. But even though they’ve got the happy ending, we don’t have to bid adieu to Anthony just yet. The sophomore season’s central couple worked through their emotional baggage before finally admitting their feelings for each other.
Season 2 wrapped with Anthony and Kate getting hitched and thereby embarking on their happily ever after as the Viscount and Viscountess of the Bridgerton household. Since then the story has moved on, introducing more couples in author Julia Quinn’s romantic world. But there happens to be a piece of good news for all Anthony Bridgerton fans.
The Viscount will be back in the upcoming fourth season of the Netflix show. Actor Jonathan Bailey confirmed the development in his recent interview with Good Morning America. “The thing about Bridgerton, which is so brilliant, is that there’s so many different ways you can fall in love as humans and that’s what this show will explore.
Obviously being the older brother, I’m going to be there to support the youngsters as we go,” he said. The actor continued, “I have a couple of weeks etched out in my schedule for returning. I look forward to reading the scripts.
” While Bailey said nothing of Ashley’s return, only time will tell if Anthony’s future appearance in the show will be marked by Kate at his side. It was in July when Netflix confirmed Luke Thompson’s Benedict Bridgerton will play the main lead, falling in love with a ‘lady in silver’ who he meets at his mother’s masquerade ball.
Subsequently, it was announced, Korean-Australian star Yerin Ha of the Dune: Prophecy fame will join the regency-era drama as female lead, Sophie Beckett, the love interest of Benedict Bridgerton.
