The sweethearts, who tied the knot in 2013 at the Holy Trinity Abbey Church in Adare, Co Limerick , moved their wedding celebrations to the luxurious Adare Manor for the reception. Despite generally preferring to stay out of the public eye, Johnny occasionally shares adorable snapshots of their busy home life on Instagram. The family are not alone on their sunny retreat.

They were joined by Wendy Lowry and her daughters, Ivy and Iris. Wendy and her daughters made a quick trip to Paris to cheer on Shane Lowry, who had the honour of being the flag bearer for the Olympics' opening ceremony alongside Sarah Lavin. Shane, who won The Open at Royal Portrush in 2019, is the first Irish golfer to receive this prestigious role.

Hailing from Clara in County Offaly, Shane finished 22nd in his Olympic debut at the Tokyo Games in 2021. Reflecting on the honour, The Irish Independent reports: “It's a huge honour for me and my family. Anybody who knows me knows how patriotic I am, how much I love Ireland and how much I love playing for my country.

I always wear the Irish flag with pride. “It’s something that I’m not sure you’d even dream about as a kid because it’s so far out there. To get to do something like this is something that I will remember forever.

” Also enjoying the sunny holiday were Jessica and current Ireland rugby captain Peter O'Mahony. Jessica and their children, Indie, Theo, and Ralph, had been in Portugal for some time, with Peter joining them after concluding the Irish rugby team's tour of South Africa..
