Sydney businessman and IRL has been revealed as the target of an alleged assassination attempt in Sydney’s east, according to police. The incident happened back in July, where two men were arrested in Bellevue Hill — one of Sydney’s most affluent suburbs and the home of Ibrahim. , 24, was allegedly armed with a pistol, while 20-year-old was allegedly driving a stolen Cupra SUV rental car.
According to police reports, it’s alleged that Tupoulahi aimed a loaded handgun at the driver of a BMW hatchback for approximately 10 seconds around 8am on July 25. The incident reportedly occurred while a child was in the passenger seat of the vehicle. Investigators believe the 24-year-old carpenter may have been targeting the owner of a luxury vehicle (later revealed as being Ibrahim), but got the wrong car.
Police allege Tupoulahi fled the scene in a stolen rental car driven by Zrayka, before the pair were later stopped by officers who subdued the carpenter with a Taser. A search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered two loaded weapons, rubber gloves, and jerry cans full of petrol. Tupoulahi was charged with 11 offences including possessing a loaded firearm in a public place, stalking or intimidating with intent of fear of physical harm and assaulting a police officer while on duty, without actual bodily harm.
