John was declared cancer-free last August and wowed fans earlier this year when he attended the wedding of his oldest son, Rob, 44, and his new bride Melissa.



Elsewhere in the chat Jim shared that it was his father's wishes to share regular updates with his followers as a tribute to his fans during his illness. 'There are a lot of people out there who love dad and I don't blame them. Some would consider him an icon, I definitely do, and we understand that.

Taking to Instagram, the brothers shared intimate details about their father's health battle ahead of the fundraiser. 'So it started off as an ulcer inside his mouth and, we found out it was cancer.
