John Abraham’s latest movie, Vedaa , released opposite horror comedy Stree 2 , which is now a blockbuster, and Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein . Vedaa has not been performing as well as expected at the box office, and Abraham recently spoke about the same in a new interview. During a new interview with Radio City, Abraham spoke about the movie’s box office performance while also defending it.

A post shared by Nikkhil Advani (@nikkhiladvani) Speaking about the same, Abraham said, “I think it is a brave film to do; very brave. Aur mai honestly keh raha hoon, success aur failure se jyada jo aap film me message de rahe ho, jo aap mudda utha rahe ho film mein, I think that’s very important. We’ve told it in an entertaining way, lekin mudda toh mudda hi hai.

Agar mudda bhaari hai, aur logon ko kuch bhaari dekhna pasand nahi hai toh wo unka choice hai, aur main usko bohot respect karta hoon. Agar unko mudda face karna hota hai, they need to face it.” A post shared by John Abraham (@thejohnabraham) Abraham recently, in the same interview, reacted to the harrowing rape and murder of a doctor in Kolkata.

He had said, “I’ll tell the boys to behave, otherwise I’ll tear them apart. Honestly, I just expect better upbringing, on a serious note. And I wouldn’t tell girls anything, because unki kya galti hai? I think parents have to tell boys to behave.

More power to the girls.” A post shared by John Abraham (@thejohnabraham) Meanwhile, Vedaa , which has been directed by Nikkhil Advani, also stars Sharvari, Abhishek Banerjee, and Tamannaah Bhatia. It follows the journey of a young woman, Vedaa , played by Sharvari, who dares to challenge the status quo.

Her fight for justice is fuelled by the unwavering support of a former soldier, played by Abraham, who becomes her shield and her weapon. Vedaa has been produced by Zee Studios, Umesh Kr Bansal, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, John Abraham, and co-produced by Minnakshi Das.
