This Morning fans found themselves totally distracted as they struggled to look away from Joel Dommett's "area". The stand-in star, turned up the heat while flustering viewers as he took to the programme rocking an all-in-one leotard that appeared to demand much attention. Even his co-star Alison Hammond seemed to be lost for words as she attempted to not gawp.
Wearing skintight lycra, in the colour green, it's safe to say there wasn't much of Joel's body that wasn't enhanced by the flimsy material which stuck to his defined abs and muscular frame. The sizzling attire proved to be too much for some fans who took to their social media platforms to groan about the segment. One person said: "Omg cringe, this is too much beta male today #thismorning," another confused viewer added: "What the hell #ThisMorning," as they shared an emoji of Homer Simpson pouring bleach into his eyes.
"I can't stop looking at Joel’s 'area' ," added a third. Other's were in positive spirts and praised Joel for his courage with limbering up in a skimpy garment on-air. "Joel does lift #thismorning , he is great fun and always entertaining to watch @thismorning," complimented an online user.
A second quip read: "We've all seen your 'grip strength' Joel #ThisMorning, as another echoed: "Go on @joeldommett You hunky devil #Thismorning." Joel sported the green get-up as a tribute to '80s icon, Diana Moran. The 85-year-old was best known as ITV's Green Goddess who appeared on screens over four decades ago.
ITV breakfast show viewers looked to her on a daily basis to help with keeping them active. Back in the day, the TV queen would slip into a jaw-dropping outfit - not too dissimilar to the Masked Singer host - to deliver health and fitness activities on-air. It wasn't just Joel who was captivating attention online, instead Diana's age-defying appearance really got fans talking.
Many of which could not believe how youthful she appeared at the ripe age of 85. One person said: "Blimey, Diana looks amazing for 85!” Someone else chimed in with: "She looks amazing for 85 I have to say, looks only about 60!" Diana earned herself the nickname of The Green Goddess of the '80s after her striking attire caught on with the public. But it appears her on-screen adventure had been due to nothing other than a wonderful coincidence and not a career she'd sought out.
Explaining the situation, she told Alison and Dermot: "It wasn't planned at all, I was a personal and welfare officer in a big department store in the West Country. Because I’m so tall, one day they asked me to be a model in one of their fashion shows. "I was seen by HTV, my station back home, before I knew it I was doing afternoon programmes with them but they knew that I also went off every Thursday, bright red to Bultins to take keep fit and I did it for fun with the holiday makers and the whole thing, it bubbled on.
