The superstar athelete can always count on the support of the Hollywood star Jodie Comer has shown her support for Katarina Johnson-Thompson. The two superstar Scousers have been close friends ever since they first met as pupils at St Julie's school in Woolton . KJT is aiming to win her first Olympic gold medal today on the second and final day of the heptathlon.

The 31-year-old has got off to an incredible start in Paris as she is top of the leader board after the first four events. The athlete returned to the track this morning for the first of the javelin throws. The heptathlon will come to a close later tonight with the 800m gets underway at 7.



15pm. KJT will be backed by the whole of Merseyside tonight as she aims to win her first gold medal. Jodie has taken to Instagram to share her support as she reshared the August digital cover of British Vogue, which features KJT.

KJT has shown incredible mental strength throughout her career as she suffered a serious Achilles problem ahead of the last Olympic games. She bounced back in style to take gold in the World Athletics Championships in 2023. Jodie was blown away by her close friends achievements as she took to Instagram at the time and said: "When you give everything to a thing.

We love you." KJT can always count on Jodie's support as she issued a similar celebratory message after her Commonwealth games triumph in 2022. She said: "The strength and determination of this beautiful soul.

" KJT is currently 48 points in the lead at the top of the heptathlon leader board. No matter how tonight pans, KJT is just thrilled she has been fit enough to compete in the 2024 games. Ahead of the tournament, she said: "All I want to do is get to the start line healthy and get the chance I never got three or four years ago.

" She is also grateful for the support she has always received. In an interview with the ECHO, she thanked people across the city for always backing her. The athlete said: "I'm always back here every chance I get.

"I always feel that every time I come back to Liverpool that everyone just wants me to do well, no matter if I don't come back with a medal or if I do. I feel that feeling of good luck. It's a moment to celebrate my past achievements.

I feel really fortunate.”.
