There’s no doubt that Ji Chang-wook is made for action entertainment. It takes unimaginable skill to ace high-octane action sequences but Ji Chang-wook has done it all smoothly in the past. Now, he returns yet again playing a savage anti-hero in Disney Plus’ Gangnam B-Side, and fans are loving it.

Though not exactly the same, Chang-wook’s bloodied combat sequences in the recently released Netflix series have reminded fans of his character Junmo from The Worst of Evil. He played a cop in the 2023 crime thriller noir and now we see him essay a ruthless pimp. But what remains similar is his capacity to beat up goons left, right, and center and the return of familiar faces from The Worst of Evil like Bibi.

A user on X wrote, “Gangnam B-Side is exactly what I need right now. I need Ji Chang-wook doing incredibly scrappy fight sequences and a literal reunion of the cast from The Worst Of Evil. I can’t wait to see where this series goes after only two episodes.
