Tuesday, August 27, 2024 Playa Hotels & Resorts N.V. has announced a binding agreement with a third party to sell the Jewel Palm Beach resort for $68 million in cash.
The sale is contingent upon customary closing conditions, and the Company cannot guarantee the completion of the transaction. The deal is anticipated to close in the third quarter of 2024. Playa Hotels & Resorts N.
V. operating through its subsidiaries and known as “Playa,” is a prominent owner, operator, and developer of all-inclusive resorts located in prime beachfront areas across Mexico, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic. Playa’s current portfolio includes 25 resorts, encompassing a total of 9,127 rooms, under various esteemed brands such as Hyatt Zilara, Hyatt Ziva, Hilton All-Inclusive, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, Wyndham Alltra, Seadust, Kimpton, Jewel Resorts, and The Luxury Collection.
