As reported by the Star , the Pied Bull launched its new 'Off Piste' marquee outside of its High Street premises in Newton-le-Willows at the start of the month. Originally intended to be a New Years Eve pop-up bar, the Pied Bull owner successfully applied for a month-long Temporary Event Notice from the council to stretch the project throughout the festivities. READ > Riddling Rack: ​Thriving cafe and cocktail bar looking forward to 'further developing style' The Pied Bull has been one of the busiest places along Newton's High Street since its renovation (Image: St Helens Star) With the Pied Bull always one of the more popular venues in Newton-le-Willows thanks to its large and prominent setting, the pub's £500k refurb during the pandemic is considered to have been a game changer for the business.

The contemporary revamp of the Pied Bull's interior and exterior has attracted increasing numbers of customers in recent years, with customers returning for the pub's cosy and old-fashioned décor, its variety of drinks, and mouth-watering food menu. And with the Pied Bull benefitting from its location along a thriving high street, not far from Newton's busy railway station, this has led brewery Punch Partnerships to describe the boozer as its "Jewel of the North".
