The New York Jets have done several things right this offseason — most notably, how the team rebuilt their offensive line. But off the field, the job has also been interesting. After revealing a new primary and secondary jersey, the Jets have revealed their new throwback unis.

It's "The Classic", a beautiful white and green kit remembering the 1968 championship season. Feeling nostalgic, yet? For one night only, the Classic is back. pic.

twitter.com/HtzYvDIwNO The design is familiar because it's similar to the ones the Jets wore from 1998 to 2018. In addition to white jerseys and pants, the helmets are white, too.

New York will use those jerseys against the Buffalo Bills in week 6, on October 14, at MetLife Stadium. "Not only was 'The Classic' worn for one of the most significant moments in pro football history but it provides the franchise an opportunity to highlight a uniform worn by 15 of its 19 players in its Ring of Honor," the Jets mentioned in an official statement. Primary kits The Jets had released their home and road main uniforms back in April.

The new uniforms are a throwback to the "Sack Exchange" era uniform and logo but with a modern twist borrowed from the last iteration of Jets uniforms. The helmets use a metallic green along with the logo used in the late 80's and 90's. There is also the "Stealth Black" version, similar to the one the Jets used for their Black Friday game last season which includes a black jersey and black pants which is now called "Legacy Black".

Therefore, "The Classic" jerseys are actually in the fourth available spot in the team's closet. This article first appeared on A to Z Sports and was syndicated with permission..
