Jesy Nelson 's earth-shattering decision to exit the legendary girl group , Little Mix in 2020 might well have been a lifesaver, suggests Rak-Su crooner Myles Stephenson. In December of the same year, Jesy, aged 33, revealed her departure from the acclaimed band, citing the serious impact it had on her mental wellbeing, reports OK! The audacious move won support from fellow The X Factor victors Rak-Su at that time. Myles, also 33 and formerly of I'm A Celebrity fame, reflected two years ago: "I think that she's been in Little Mix for nine years and she's had all these comments.

We all know that she's gone through drama with people, obviously trolling and social media so I think she made a very smart decision and that decision could have potentially saved her life." He went on to add: "We don't know if she had stayed in the group and continued to receive the social media trolling that she used to get, who knows what could have happened." Chatting with Metro.

co.uk, Myles drew parallels between Jesy's situation and that of their own bandmate Mustafa Rahimtulla, who likewise stepped back due to his mental health struggles Elaborating, he said: "It's the same situation with Mustafa when he used to get trolled as well. How long can people take it? You know whether you're a confident person or you're not so confident person, everybody has a breaking point, people just need to find out what it is.

" Jesy Nelson expressed her gratitude towards her fans on Instagram after her departure from Little Mix became public knowledge. In an emotional message, she wrote: "I just want to say thank you so much to everyone of you that has shown me so much love and support over the past few days some of your messages have made me feel so emotional and I appreciate it so much". Adding a personal touch, the 'Black Magic' artist signed off her note with: "love you all," along with a red heart emoji.

Earlier this week, Jesy's boyfriend Zion Foster's social media confirmed they'd split as a couple . Addressing fans on OK!'s TikTok account, the 25 year old Zion extended his well wishes to 33 year old Jesy with the sweet tribute: "Beautiful woman inside and out, wish her nothing but the best."
