Mendiola shared a photo of herself with Rosie through her Facebook page, which elicited a comment from a social media user who appeared curious over the child’s facial features.
“Grabe, bakit ganyan yang bata? Wala pang two years old pero ang eyebags pang-80 years old na,” the netizen said. Mendiola then cried foul and reminded the netizen to look at themselves first before making comments on other people’s appearance. “Nasa lahi namin na may eyebags talaga kasi half Lebanese.
Kalmahan ang paglait sa bata,” the actress said. “Iayon po natin ang ganda sa panlalait. Tingnan niyo po muna sarili niyo sa salamin.

In an earlier interview, Mendiola said she would support Rosie should she decide to enter show business when she is older. “Kung saan siya masaya—if she’s not comfortable being in front of a lot of people, it’s okay. If she is, then good,” the actress stated.
