Former Match of the Day pundit and One Show presenter Jermaine Jenas had his contract terminated by the BBC in August for allegedly sending inappropriate messages to a female colleague. At the time of his sacking, the on-screen presenter admitted he sent "inappropriate messages" to two colleagues on the One Show but insisted he "did nothing illegal" and said they were sent to "two consenting adults". Jermaine may now be given a platform to share his side of the story much like Phillip Schofield following his departure from ITV's This Morning.

The 62-year-old returned to TV screens on Channel 5's Cast Away after his bombshell exit from ITV's This Morning in May 2023. Phillip found himself shunned by the entertainment world after having an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a much younger colleague at ITV. According to the bookmakers' latest odds, other TV stars who may get the call from Channel 5 have been listed, and former football pundit, 41, topped the list with odds of 7/4.
