Jermaine Jenas will miss out on at least £190,000 from the BBC . The Match of The Day presenter , who's been sacked over claims he sent unsolicited risque texts to a female staff member, earned a staggering salary between £190k and £194,999 for his work on the FA Cup , Match Of The Day and the World Cup. His job on The One Show was dealt via BBC Studios, so that money isn't in the public domain – but the pundit was likely making well over £200,000 across various gigs.

Now he's thought to be "devastated" after losing a huge chunk of his yearly earnings. It's been quite the 24 hours for Jermaine, with posters of the star thought to have been pulled down at Manchester's Media City HQ. He's also no longer listed under Match Of The Day on IMDb and has reportedly been dropped by his showbiz agent M&C Saatchi Merlin.

"He has yet to say his side of the story but he has made it known privately to friends he is unhappy," a source told The Sun. The BBC confirmed his departure last night, saying: "We can confirm Jermaine Jenas is no longer part of the presenting line-up." BBC employees have reportedly been advised to avoid Jermaine after his termination.

The 41-year-old presenter saw his BBC agreement terminated prematurely this week. Following a grievance lodged last month regarding provocative texts from the host, the broadcaster began investigating. The situation has apparently stunned BBC staffers.

At 3.39pm on Thursday, Director of Sport Alex Kay-Jelski emailed staff with the news: "I wanted to let you know that Jermaine Jenas is no longer working for the BBC." Insiders have let slip that there's a new rule for staff, with a source explaining: "Presenters, cast and crew have all been asked not to contact him whilst legal matters are ongoing.

" The same insider told The Sun: "As a result, a lot of Chinese whispers have been circulating. Not even top talent like Alex Jones, Alan Shearer or Gary Lineker knew about this. It was shrouded in secrecy.

It has shocked, and rocked, everyone." "The staff WhatsApps were suddenly abuzz with what was going on. There have been whispers that something was afoot but bosses had kept the investigation close to their chest.

It's a very sensitive landscape at the BBC at the moment," an insider told the Mirror . "..

.with the various scandals that have beset it of late. Any hint of workplace misconduct and they needed to come down on like a ton of bricks.

" Back in May, Jermaine bagged the Women's Football Ally of the Year accolade. At that time, he remarked: "I have always supported the women's game. I have three daughters of my own.

My mum raised me." It's been a while since Jenas was seen on the BBC, with his last appearance dating back to earlier this summer. Jenas has since broken his silence, insisting there's more to the situation than meets the eye.

Speaking through a representative to The Sun, he stated: "Right now I can't talk about it. I can tell you I'm not happy - there are two sides to every story - and I'm going to be speaking with my lawyers on the issue."
