Jermaine Jenas addresses his BBC sacking on talkSPORT Jermaine Jenas is said to be "considering legal action" after his swift sacking from the BBC . The presenter, 41, was let go from his hosting positions on Match of the Day and The One Show earlier this week following complaints of ‘inappropriate behaviour’. A spokesperson for the BBC confirmed the news of his departure, saying: “We can confirm that he is no longer part of our presenting line up.

” It was later reported that the BBC had launched an "immediate internal investigation" after concerns were raised about the former footballer. Allegedly, Jenas had sent a string of X-rated messages to two colleagues on the evening magazine programme. Breaking his silence, the TV presenter apologised if he made the women he had messaged feel uncomfortable , while maintaining that he didn't do anything "illegal".



He told the press: “I did nothing illegal — these were inappropriate messages between two consenting adults.” He added: "I am ashamed, and I am deeply sorry. “I have let myself down, my family, friends and colleagues down, and I owe everyone an apology — especially the women with whom I was messaging.

And I do consider it cheating, yes, although nothing physical ever happened.

“This is all on me and I fully accept there is a level of responsibility that needs to be upheld when you’re a member of the BBC . And I fell below those standards. I must take the responsibility.

In the wake of the rapid-fire sacking, the publication reported that Jenas said he is considering seeking legal action. However, he is said to have dismissed the idea that he has been made a 'scapegoat' by the broadcaster, which is said to be keen to be seen taking action on troubling allegations with swiftness after the Huw Edwards and Strictly scandals.

The Times reported that a BBC executive told the paper: "We want to make sure that we are acting quickly and decisively when we have proof of wrongdoing.".
