posted his yearly message about flunking his A-levels as he plugged his new pub. The Top Gear and Grand Tour star goes on X, formerly Twitter, every year on the day the results come out to remind teens that he didn’t do too well in them but that he’s still managed to have a luxurious lifestyle. It has become something of a tradition for the TV star to flag one aspect of his enviable life to make the point that results aren’t everything.

This year, Jeremy reminded fans of his own disappointing grades as he promoted his new pub. “Don’t worry if your A level results aren’t what you were hoping for,” he posted. “I got a C and two Us, and here I am, 46 years later, with my own pub.

It opens next weekend if you fancy dropping in.” The star, 64, has bought The Windmill pub in the Cotswolds, not too far from his Diddly Squat Farm. One fan replied to his post to say: “I’d love to, but I expect it will be heaving and queues to get into it that are miles long.

” “Hope so,” the TV star replied. Others said they were happy to see his annual post about grades. “I always look forward to your yearly dose of inspiration,” said one fan.

Another agreed: “It wouldn’t be results day without a Jeremy Clarkson tweet.” Somebody else remarked: “10 years ago I remember reading this, and today I realise you were right all along. They never mattered.

” Over the years, Jezza’s A-level day post has included a little brag about everything from food to flash cars. Last year he reminded fans: “I got a C and 2 Us and here I am today with my own brewery.” And the year before that he shared a snap of a yacht at sea as he said that despite disappointing marks he was “currently holidaying on this boat”.

Other posts over the years have referred to Jeremy being a host of motoring show Top Gear, having a Bentley and other costly cars and having a chef preparing him truffles for breakfast. ..
