JEOPARDY! fans have scored an even rarer occurrence than a 20-day champion: a job opening with a $250,000 minimum salary, no less. The game show shared the elusive opportunity on social media, prompting fans to refresh their resumes with buzzer-fast speed. Jeopardy! posted it's seeking a Supervising Producer, Contestant Recruitment & Development on Tuesday.

The announcement was shared on their X and Instagram pages, opening the floodgates to fans. "Apply for the Supervising Producer, Contestant Recruitment & Development position with the link in bio," the caption read. As per the graphic, the main requirements are experience in contestant recruitment, knowledge of TV production, and a passion for Jeopardy! .

"OMG WHAT A DREAM JOB!!!" wrote a third. Most read in Game shows "I wish I can get hired solely based off my love for jeopardy," lamented a fourth. "But I don’t want to get other people on the show, *I* want to get on the show!" joked a fifth.

SMALL STAFF According to its website , Jeopardy! has just ten writers, most of whom have been with the show for decades. When there are job openings, it's always a big deal. Fans may recall the iconic Clue Crew .

The late Alex Trebek hand-picked the four-member team from a whopping 5,000 people . Two Clue Crew members, Sarah Foss and Jimmy Mcguire, are still with the show as producer and stage manager, respectively. WHAT IS: THE JOB? The potentially full-time position pays "$5,000.00 - $7,000.00 per week.

" That's a minimum of $250,000 annually (equal to the prize for winning the Tournament of Champions ). "The Supervising Producer, Contestant Recruitment and Development at Jeopardy! will report directly to the Executive Producer," the posting reads. "The main goal for this role will be to oversee the direction of the show's contestant department.

This entails "expanding, strengthening, and diversifying Jeopardy!'s contestant pool" and "enhancing the contestant experience." Responsibilities include: "Lead the contestant team in taking a more active and outward-facing approach to expand, strengthen, and diversify the contestant pool with both short and long-term recruitment strategies. "Identify, create, and implement new initiatives for identifying talent.

"Manage and ensure the contestant team is efficient and fully engaged throughout the entire contestant testing and selection process. "Spearhead Jeopardy!'s efforts to recruit the best players possible to take the Anytime Test and any future specific test (i.e.

Pop Culture and Sports Jeopardy!)." And: "Initiate ways to enhance the contestant experience at every stage - from applying and auditioning to appearing and becoming alumni." The mention of Sports Jeopardy! is an interesting footnote since only Pop Culture Jeopardy! has been announced by the show.
