Jennifer Aniston appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night and took the opportunity to reminisce about working with Kris Kristofferson , who died last weekend . The actress recounted how she was about to cast the singer and actor in a short film she directed in 2006 called Room 10 . “I actually was lucky enough to direct my first short film, and, surprisingly, when we asked him, he said yes,” Aniston told Kimmel.

“He and Robin Wright. And it was one of the most special experiences I’ve ever had.” She added that she had Kristofferson in mind for the role.



“It was an older man who was losing his wife at the time,” the actress said. “He was just an older man saying goodbye to his wife on her last and her final days in the hospital and he broke our hearts. He was extraordinary, really.

And what a kind man.” Aniston later appeared alongside Kristofferson in He’s Just Not That Into You , playing her character’s dad. “He came to my 40th birthday party,” Aniston said of their friendship on the film.

“His wife and he flew in. He was a lovely man and it’s a huge loss.” Kimmel asked Aniston if it was true that Kristofferson was also a fan of Friends .

“Yeah,” Aniston confirmed. “Because when we reach out to make the call actually his wife had mentioned they had just been binge-watching Friends ..

. So I was so excited to meet him and then he’d been sort of watching Friends and we both had this moment. It was adorable.
