Jeffree Star is back on YouTube with some very unexpected news. The 38-year-old MUA famously quit the platform , where he regularly shared long-form content with millions of followers, in November 2022. He briefly returned to the platform nearly a year ago but only uploaded a few videos before going silent again.
On Sunday (September 15), Jeffree returned again with a video announcing plans to drop new music and a makeup collection to celebrate the 15th anniversary of his first and only studio album Beauty Killer . Keep reading to find out more..
. If you were unaware, Jeffree pursued a music career and was even signed by Akon before launching his beauty brand Jeffree Star Cosmetics . In 2009, he dropped his debut album, which featured a collaboration with Nicki Minaj called “Lollipop Luxury.
” It’s been over a decade since Jeffree last released music. However, he got back in the recording studio to create three new songs for a reissue of Beauty Killer . In his new video, Jeffree revealed that there were multiple versions of the album coming soon.
It will include a country inspired version of the title track as well as two other new songs that capture the sound of the Myspace era when he first started dropping music. Does this mean that Jeffree will be pursuing more music? He did tease a possible concert but did not confirm anything so we’ll have to wait and see. The new music will come with a makeup collection, including a mini eyeshadow palette named after his collab with Nicki , a liquid blush and two of his iconic Velour Liquid Lipsticks.
