Friday, January 24, 2025 Budapest and Kuwait City are set to enjoy direct flight connections this summer scheduled to run from June 5 to September 25, 2025, thanks to Jazeera Airways. The flights will provide new opportunities for tourism, business, and cultural exchange. The airline, known as Kuwait’s leading low-cost carrier, will operate a new service twice weekly between the two capitals.
The memorandum of understanding to establish the route was signed in January 2025 between Jazeera Airways and Budapest Airport, which is part of the VINCI Airports network. This marks the first direct aerial connection between Hungary and Kuwait and the seventh Middle Eastern destination with direct flights from Budapest, joining Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Israel, Jordan, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. Flights will operate on Thursdays and Saturdays, catering to both leisure and business travelers.
According to Budapest Airport CEO Francois Berisot, this new connection offers significant benefits to passengers: “We are delighted to welcome Jazeera Airways to Hungary, a brand-new airline joining the Budapest network. The transfer options they provide will open up long-awaited opportunities for Hungarian travelers to explore India and the South Asian region. At the same time, the route will benefit business travelers and boost tourism and economic ties between the two countries.
” The addition of this route is expected to enhance Hungary’s connectivity with the South Asian region, as Kuwait serves.
