Former LSU Tigers and current Washington Commanders' rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels is turning heads following his first NFL completion in Saturday's game against the New York Jets . On just his second throw of the game, Daniels winded up and launched the ball 42 yards deep, completing the pass to wide receiver Dyami Brown . First NFL completion ✔️ #WASvsNYJ @WUSA9 pic.

twitter.com/oq9jwiETx2 As if it couldn't get any better than that, Daniels put his dual-threat abilities on display and finished off the drive by rushing for a touchdown. Jayden Daniels keeps it for a touchdown pic.

twitter.com/HMLtNmBuUP One could argue that it's "just preseason," but Daniels has been lighting it up at training camp as well and completed a similar pass to Brown at joint practice with the Jets on Friday. twitter.com/nYv0T43fl7 Even Jets' cornerback Sauce Gardner went out of his way to tell Daniels he's "going to be real good" in the league after going against him in practice. And that speaks volumes coming from one of, if not the best cornerback in the NFL.

Daniels' preseason arm could very well be a glimpse into what the Commanders can expect from Daniels this fall and fans should be very excited about it. The former 2023 Heisman Trophy winner was selected by the Commanders second overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. In his final season as a fifth-year senior with the Tigers in 2023, Daniels threw for a total 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns while adding 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground.
