The trailer of Angry Young Men, a docuseries on Salim-Javed, was recently unveiled in the presence of the families of the legendary screenwriters from 1970s Hindi cinema. At the launch event, the duo reminisced about some of their best memories together. New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan attended the trailer launch of the OTT docuseries Angry Young Men on Tuesday (August 13, 2024).

The upcoming web show explores the creative partnership and legacy of the renowned Bollywood writing duo – Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar. Salim Khan’s children, including Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, Arpita Khan Sharma, and grandsons Arhaan and Nirvaan, also graced the event. Recalling when he first met Salim Khan, Javed Akhtar mentioned that Salman wasn’t even a year old at the time.

He described Arbaaz as ‘mischievous’ and a ‘regular seducer’, highlighting how Arbaaz would befriend Salim Sahab’s friends and build special relationships with them. Angry Young Men on OTT The Namrata Rao-directed series will be available for streaming on Prime Video starting August 20, 2024.

It marks a joint production between Salman Khan Films, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment, and Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti’s Tiger Baby Films. Angry Young Men brings to the screen the story of the legendary screenwriters of 1970s Hindi cinema. The duo, who were outsiders to the film industry, went on to demand as much recognition as the reigning stars of that time by delivering back-to-back blockbusters.
