Saturday, August 24, 2024 Norfolk Southern Corporation has elevated Jason A. Zampi to the position of Senior Vice President Finance & Treasurer. In his new capacity, Zampi will continue overseeing financial planning and analysis, while also taking on the responsibilities for treasury and investor relations from Chris Ceraso, the current Vice President & Treasurer, who has chosen to depart the company to explore new opportunities.

Zampi will maintain his reporting line to Mark George, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. During his tenure as Vice President, Zampi was instrumental in establishing Norfolk Southern’s financial planning and analysis function. By working collaboratively across the company, he has been key in identifying productivity initiatives and strategic investments that have supported critical business decisions, furthering the railroad’s balanced strategy.



“Jason’s collaboration, business acumen and steadfast focus on outcomes is instrumental in our ability to drive exceptional results across our franchise. This elevated role positions him for even greater impact,” said George. “In addition to leading key functions within our finance division, Jason will be key to our continued deep and constructive engagement with the investment community and our shareholders.

” Zampi’s career at Norfolk Southern began in 2011, where he has held progressively senior roles within the finance and accounting divisions. His previous positions include Vice President and Controller, and Assistant Vice President, Corporate Accounting. Before joining Norfolk Southern, Zampi was a Senior Manager at KPMG LLP.

He is a certified public accountant and earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University..
