Monday, August 26, 2024 Japan Airlines (JAL) has once again teamed up with Tokyo Disney Resort® to introduce a uniquely enchanting flying experience, the “JAL Fantastic Journey Express.” This marks the sixth collaboration between JAL and Tokyo Disney Resort since their first partnership in 2001. The aircraft design, inspired by Fantasy Springs—the newest themed port at Tokyo DisneySea that opened in June 2024—brings the magic of Disney to the skies.
The exterior of the “JAL Fantastic Journey Express” showcases beloved Disney characters against iconic backdrops. Passengers will recognize Anna and Elsa from Frozen alongside the majestic Arendelle Castle, Rapunzel with her signature tower from Tangled, and Peter Pan with Captain Hook’s ship, the Jolly Roger. This artistic tribute to Disney’s beloved stories ensures that even before takeoff, passengers are transported into a world of fantasy.
Onboard, passengers will find themselves in a fully immersive Disney-themed environment. The aircraft’s interior features specially designed headrest covers, paper cups, and exclusive boarding pass stickers, all adorned with elements from Fantasy Springs. The in-flight music further enhances the experience, featuring timeless Disney classics like “You Can Fly! You Can Fly! You Can Fly!” from Peter Pan, alongside the new “Journey to Fantasy Springs” theme song.

This aircraft, which has a seating capacity of 252 passengers, offers three classes of service: First Class, Class J, and Economy.
