Janmashtami festival is around the corner and devotees are enthusiastically preparing for the big celebratio0n on the birthday of Lord Krishna. People are purchasing various things for the decoration, such as flowers, balloons and other decorative material. They are also buying beautiful dress and swing for Laddoo Gopal Ji.

Everyone prepares everything for his birthday a day before. This will be 5251st birth anniversary of Shri Krishna. This year, it Krishna Janmashtami is going to be celebrated on August 26, 2024 .

If you are observing fast then you must take a sankalp before that and seek blessings of Lord Krishna. 2.

Do not eat anything whole day and start your fast from dawn and break it during Parana time. 3. Perform puja to Lord Krishna with immense devotion and deep faith.

4. One must stay away from tamasik activities and tamasik food items. 5.

Offering Tulsi Patra is one of the most important ritual. 6. Feed cows on this sacred day as cows are dear to Lord Krishna.

Janmashtami 2024: Step-by-Step Guide to perform puja 1. Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath before commencing puja rituals. 2.

Clean the house and puja room where you want to set an altar. 3. Clean the photo and idols of each God.

4. Give bath to Laddoo Gopal Ji and Lord Krishna idol. 5.

Decorate the swing and place well cushioned sheet and then place laddoo Gopal ji on that. 6. Adorn him with beautiful dress, flowers, mukut, mor pankh, tulsi mala, bangles, and put chanda tilak on forehead, and make him sit there.

7. Offer him water, tulsi patra and other eatables. 5.

Prepare for the different types of bhog prasad - Panjeeri, Dhaniya Panjeeri, Makhana Kheer, Makhana Barfi, Khoya Barfi, and prepare Panchamrit in the evening. 5. Decorate your home with flowers, balloons, rangoli and other decorative materials.

6. Once you prepare all the bhog prasad - offer it to the Lord and spend your day chanting his name and mantras. 7.

Chant mantras and stotram - "Om Namo Bhagvat Vasudevaye", "Vishnu Sahasranama" and "shree hari stotram" 8. As the birthday preparation begins in the night - prepare a thali where you can keep different types of fruits, dry fruits, kamal gatta, paan supari, meetha paan, akshat, roli, different types of flowers including lotus, panchamrit, panjeeri and home made sweets. 9.

Change the clothes of Baal Krishna and during midnight, celebrate his birthday with immense devotion and enthusiasm. 10. Offer bhog prasad and then recite this aarti - "Aarti Kunj Bihari Ki Shree Girdhar Krishna Murari Ki" 11.

Visit temple to seek blessings of Lord Krishna and take prasad from there also. 12. Fast observers can break their fast during parana time.
