Janice Odell (Bolme) Oestreich, age 85, formally of Kindred, ND, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo. Janice was born on March 30, 1939, to Gilbert and Grace (Skarvold) Bolme in Christine, ND. Janice grew up in Christine and Walcott, ND.

On September 4, 1956, she married Milton Ostreich. Together they raised three children, David, Gregory, and Susan. Janice worked at Bethany for several years before starting her career at the Kindred State Bank in May 1974.



She retired in December 2003. Janice and Milt loved traveling, including going to Vegas every winter and enjoying their condo in Maui Hawaii. They also had many adventures with sisters and brothers-in-law.

She loved spending time with her kids, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Janice was best known for her great love for entertaining family and friends at the lakes, in their home, and anywhere family was gathered. She was a fantastic cook and was the best hostess.

She was famous for her beautiful assortment of platters that a person needed to fit all the amazing food she had prepared. Janice will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Milton Oestreich; children, David (Robin) Oestreich, Gregory (Beth) Oestreich, Susan (Jeff) Hanson; 7 grandchildren, Kali (Sam) Heyen, Brett (Kendra) Oestreich, Jenna (Justin) Pieterick, Alex (Lexi) Oestreich, Alix (Weston) Schoening, Xavier Castro, Aden Oestreich; 13 great grandchildren, Henry, Camryn, Isabelle, Andrew, Lincoln, Bode, Bauer, Grayson, Brooks, Remi, Rian, Grady, Harper; her sister, Bette Jordheim, brother-in-law, Orval Beadles, and sister-in-law, Shirley Bolme.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Grace Bolme; sisters, Elaine Beadles, Gail King; brother, Rick Bolme; brother-in-law, Orland Jordheim. Visitation will be at the Walcott Lutheran Church, Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 10:00am with the service to follow at 11:00am. Lunch will be provided.
