Country singer Jamey Johnson was arrested in Tennessee’s Williamson County over the weekend, according to Nashville TV-news outlet Newschannel 5 . “We can confirm that Jamey Johnson was arrested on Sunday, Nov. 17 in Williamson County.

The incident is still under investigation,” the Tennessee Highway Patrol wrote in a statement to the station. Newschannel 5 reported that the Mobile Patrol app stated that the singer was charged with possession of drugs and speeding. However, while the District Attorney’s Office for Williamson County confirmed the songwriter’s arrest , it wouldn’t confirm the charges.



A rep for Johnson didn’t immediately return RS ‘s request for comment.
