Good Morning Britain star Richard Madeley has confessed he was left devastated after he was dropped from a major television role. The 68-year-old was back on screens for Tuesday's edition of the popular breakfast show alongside co-host Susanna Reid . During the programme, the presenters interviewed actor David Harewood on his astonishing career as well as his battle with mental health.
But Richard was eager to ask David about a recent tweet he posted regarding a role that ended up being scrapped. Reflecting on his own career, Richard mentioned that something similar happened to him. Speaking candidly, he said: "The reason why I wanted you to talk about that a very similar thing happened to me a couple of years ago.
I did a pilot for a big, big new entertainment show, I was told that it had gone well. "It had got the commission, we got the pilot and a series of 30 and then they gave it to somebody else!"
