Love Island fans are convinced they've 'rumbled' Joey Essex's 'game plan' just days ahead of the final. The hit ITV2 show will be airing its 2024 finale on Monday 29th July at 9pm, where one couple will be crowned the winners and take home an incredible £50,000. On Friday's episode, Jessy Potts excitedly told the girls that Joey, 33, had asked to be exclusive.

Meanwhile, Joey told the boys: "I ain't found someone like this in years, man, I just said to her: 'Might as well be exclusive, innit!'", adding he felt great and it was good news. However, viewers were left suspicious over the move as they pointed out it was just days head of the final. Taking to Twitter , now X, one person said: "Joey can smell the finals because you’ve been with jessy longer than the other couples yet you’ve only just made her exclusive now??? #loveIsland", a different account put: "I just like want to improve my chances in the final so I've made Jessy exclusive #Joey #LoveIsland", another wrote: "Joey game card is on, closer to the final so time to be ‘exclusive’ but at this point you should have just made her your girlfriend instead like .

.. #LoveIsland #LoveIslandUK" while another added: "Joey asking Jessy to be exclusive when there’s days til the final and no other bombshells coming in<<< #loveisland.

" Later in the episode, the villa received a shock text, which read: "Islanders, tonight each couple must vote for the two couples who they think are least compatible, those who receive a vote risk being dumped from the Island. You must now discuss in your couples who you’re going to choose and then submit your decision by text. You must not discuss your decision with anyone else.

" It was a tough decision for the Islanders and at the end of the episode, narrator Iain Stirling revealed: "Joey and Jessy, Ayo and Jess, Sean and Matilda, and Josh and Mimii are all at risk of being dumped." However, in an explosive twist at the end of the episode, it was revealed that all of the past Islanders would be returning to the villa. In a dramatic first look, it saw the 2024 dumped Islanders walking into the villa as Iain teased: "Guess who's back with a big decision.
