The TV star revealed that she often finds herself in tears over her husband's battle with bipolar II disorder and depression, which he was diagnosed with last year.
In a heartfelt piece for HELLO in 2022, Nadia confessed that "he was told that he would have been trying to deal with his illness since he was five or six years old". She also admitted that she too has to "endure" the "horrors of depression" alongside him, but added: "Except it's easier for me than it is for him. Much easier.
" The couple, who have been married for more than two decades , have only recently come to fully understand what living with depression entails. "We've been married for 20 years, and I would say it's only really in the last few years that I've fully understood what living with depression means..
. "It breaks my heart when he tells me how sad he is because I adore him and it feels so unfair. But it's also much better in the long run to know the truth," Nadia said.
