After a relatively peaceful first week in the Australian jungle, viewers have seen the first major disagreement of the series as Dean McCullough and Alan Halsall clash following the latest rule break by the campmates. Previously, audiences saw Dean move from the main camp to the junkyard, which was more luxurious than new residents Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles led their fellow contestants to believe. As Dean joined them, the Radio 1 host was also tasked with helping them with their secret challenge.
If they could deceive the other campmates into thinking they were roughing it, they would win a junk food feast for the entire camp. Tonight's episode showed them succeeding, and after enjoying a generous portion, Dean decided to take a nap. However, there were still camp chores to be done.
Earlier in the week, camp leaders Tulisa and Coronation Street actor Alan Halsall divided the tasks, reports OK! . Jane went to collect the firewood but declared, "I can't do it on my own." Noticing that Dean seemed to be avoiding his fair share, Alan tried to wake him up and persuade him to get to work.
However, a sleepy and disoriented Dean was less than pleased at being woken and barely moved as Alan asked him: "You don't fancy it? No?" When he got little response from Dean, Alan decided to go down with Jane to help her so she wasn't alone. As Dean headed to join Alan and Jane, he said to Alan: "You can go back now." Alan offered: "I was trying to wake you up as soft as I could.
