The challenging show will air on Sunday The I'm A Celebrity campmates traditionally wear matching uniforms ever year and one of the colours they sport each year is red. One main part of the uniform is the red socks contestants wear, but there is an alarming reason they wear them. Last year, former show medic Bob McCarron opened up about the wardrobe choices for the celebrities.
He left the programme after two decades last year and offered show insights to Woman's Own magazine. He told them red socks were given to celebrities to "disguise bloodstains". He revealed the celebrities will be bitten by bugs during their jungle stint which will likely leave blood marks on legs and feet.
The red socks are a method of disguising this so viewers can't see it as easily. This year's I'm A Celebrity line-up was confirmed earlier this week ahead of the show launching on Sunday, November 17. Among the famous faces heading into the jungle are former Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse, Coronation Street actor Alan Halsall, WAG Coleen Rooney and McFly's Danny Jones.
ITV have promised the launch of the challenging show will be the most competitive ever. Campmates will be instructed to pair up and partake in a number of challenges. The winning pair will be awarded the title of the first leaders of camp, they'll be exempt from any chores and run the camp the way they'd like.
The winners will stay in The luxurious Leaders' Lodge which boasts two comfy beds and shelter from the rain. Although, t.
