There could be death heartache on Emmerdale in the coming weeks amid a new John Sugden twist. A comment made about the newcomer by another resident amid a feud may have teased tragedy ahead, amid the cast filming a fire stunt . John is featured in these scenes along with others, while it's not known what causes the barn blaze yet.
But amid John swearing revenge on Aaron Dingle and Mackenzie Boyd, a scene in the latest episode may have teased a deadly twist ahead. Mack clashed with John once more on Tuesday, in the fallout to him and Aaron stealing John's campervan. The van, also John's home containing everything he owns, ended up in a lake and John was furious.
As Cain Dingle tried to ease the men's feud and help John with his van, Mack's rivalry with the newcomer led to another violent showdown. Mack was infuriated to find out John had been offered work at his sister Moira Dingle's farm while he stays in the village. Mack was eager to get rid of John, and he soon issued a warning about him to Cain.
Mackenzie told Cain that John was not to be trusted, with Mack worried about John and his intentions after recent drama. He made it clear he didn't like the sound of him hanging around, even calling him out for living in his van. It's clear John has rattled Mack, but does the character have a reason to be worried? Mack's eerie comment about not trusting John at all, and asking Cain if he knew what he was doing, might have teased there is cause for concern.
Cain replying that Mack had a lot of work to do to make things up to John and he'd "be paying for it" may also have teased he could end up regret crossing John. But with John out for revenge and a fire twist looming, could it all be linked to the newcomer and might Mackenzie or someone else face danger? It comes as John was seen hiding something about his past with sister Victoria Sugden , amid his revenge plan , refusing to talk about his time in the army. After Victoria was stunned to learn he'd been in the army, after he was shown holding some dog tags, John shut the conversation down.
But as the camera panned to what was written on the dog tags, it wasn't the name John Sugden. Instead a different name was shown, with it reading " Aidan Moore ". So who is Aidan , and how is he linked to John? Why does John have his tags, or could John actually be Aidan? Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
