RESIDENTS who live near a Scots nature reserve have hit out at plans to build a 'mega-resort' around the quiet beauty spot. The proposed tourist development would see a holiday village of around 75 lodges near a former quarry close to Letham in Fife. 1 The nature reserve has been ear marked for 'mega-resort' plans Credit: Eden Spring Planning The developers also plan crazy golf , a play area, bike storage and a reception for the site.

But locals say the £35million scheme will ruin the area around the gravel pit which has been filled with water and now forms Eden Muir Loch. One objector said: "This is a natural beauty spot, not Benidorm." Monimail community council represent the area around Cupar and have objected to the proposal set out by the Eden Muir developers, despite some local support around jobs and investment in the area around the A91 through central Fife.
