ITC Royal Bengal has received the prestigious ‘Best Energy Efficient Commercial Building/Hotel’ award at the CII National Energy Efficiency Circle Competition 2024. This honor celebrates the hotel’s commitment to sustainable practices, cutting-edge energy management techniques, and adherence to the ITC Hotels’ principle of responsible luxury.

The accolade from this national contest highlights ITC Royal Bengal as a model of environmental stewardship. Holding a LEED platinum certification , the hotel exemplifies commitment to global eco-friendly standards in its design and operations.



In its pursuit of energy efficiency and carbon neutrality, ITC Royal Bengal has adopted numerous innovative measures aimed at achieving Net Zero Carbon status. The hotel has upgraded its energy systems by implementing state-of-the-art HVAC and electrical technologies. Recent upgrades include transitioning from diesel to electric boilers, installing heat pumps for water heating, integrating electronically commutated fans and patented air filtration nets in air handling units, automating chiller tube cleaning processes, and electrifying various laundry and kitchen appliances.

Moreover, the hotel uses high-efficiency IE5 motors for improved water management, boosting its energy conservation efforts.
