Wednesday, November 20, 2024 ITA Airways launches direct flights between Bangkok and Rome, offering enhanced connectivity with state-of-the-art Airbus A330neo and premium Italian service. ITA Airways has officially introduced its inaugural direct flight between Rome Fiumicino and Bangkok, marking the airline’s debut in the Thai market. The new route, serviced by the state-of-the-art Airbus A330neo, will operate five times a week, offering enhanced connectivity between the two destinations.
The first flight, AZ 758, departed from Rome Fiumicino and landed at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) at 8:25 AM local time on Sunday, November 17. The return flight, AZ 759, took off from Bangkok at 12:15 PM local time, completing the maiden journey of this exciting new service. To celebrate this significant milestone, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport.
The event saw the participation of key dignitaries, including Emiliana Limosani, Chief Commercial Officer of ITA Airways and CEO of Volare, Pierfrancesco Carino, Vice President of International Sales for ITA Airways, and Benedetto Mencaroni Poiani, Regional Manager for Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Joining them were Siripakorn Cheawsamoot, Deputy Governor for International Marketing at the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), H.E.
