Hollywood heavyweight Isla Fisher Sydney apartment sale has been delayed just hours before it was set to go to auction. The “newly renovated” two-bedroom Woollahra property is located just meters from Centennial Park and boasts walking distances from Bondi Junction. Ms Fisher, who shot to fame after staring in Wedding Crashers and Confessions of a Shopaholic, purchased the home in 1995 for just $171,500 after landing a gig on Home and Away.
She was 19 when she made the purchase. The auction was set for 11.30am on September 28, just hours ahead of the AFL Grand Final.
But on Saturday morning the auction was delayed for two weeks, with an inspection still listed at 11am. JK Agency is leading the sale, advertising the property as “New York-inspired” offering the best of Sydney’s east. JK Agency principal salesman Michael Minogue said the auction was pushed back to October 12 as the market was a “bit soft” at the moment.
He said the price guide has since been cut from $1 million to $900,000 hoping to drum up more interest. “The vendor’s said let’s get it sold,” he said. “We’ll go in two weeks if not sold prior — there’s already a bit of interest.
” The listing for the apartment reads: “Flooded with natural light, it blends serene park-side living with a cosmopolitan flair, all within a stone’s throw from Sydney’s most sought-after spots.” “Directly across from Centennial Park, this newly renovated home brings you the ultimate convenience. .
